HS403C is a solar and battery powered 20mm micro sight designed for rifle and carbine applications. HS403C features Holosun’s Red Super LED with 50k hour battery life, 10 daylight and 2 night vision compatible reticle intensity settings. Its housing is made from 6061 aluminum and includes both a lower 1/3 co-witness mount (1.63”) and a low mount (.75”) for low-comb height rifle applications.
HS403C is unique in that it is always on and ready. If there is ambient light available it will power the HS403C even without a battery. Additional features include Shake Awake technology, digital buttons for setting changes, rubber lens covers, and a side-mounted battery tray for the 2032 battery. HS403C is a versatile sight for users of all levels.
Solar Failsafe™
Multilayer Reflective GlassSolar Failsafe Technology is one of many innovations featured on solar-equipped Holosun optics. With Solar Failsafe, if your battery fails you always have a backup power source when natural or artificial light is available. Solar Failsafe is activated while in Auto Mode where reticle intensity is automatically adjusted based on the amount of light the solar cell receives. In brighter conditions you have a brighter reticle and in lower-light conditions the reticle will step down in intensity to match any lighting conditions. On models equipped with a super capacitor, it is possible to run the optic, indefinitely, in daytime and night conditions, by maintaining a charge through the Solar Failsafe System all without a battery.
