The Canik METE MC9LS expands the MC9 platform with both a longer slide and an extended grip, giving shooters increased sight radius, additional gripping surface and a 17+1 capacity while maintaining a slim overall profile.

Chambered in 9mm, the MC9LS features a 3.64-inch barrel, optics-ready slide, striker-fired action, interchangeable backstraps and integrated Picatinny accessory rail. The all-black configuration provides a clean, understated appearance while retaining the modern features of Canik’s METE series.

3.64-Inch Barrel and Extended Slide

The defining difference between the Canik METE MC9LS and the MC9L is the longer slide and barrel assembly. The MC9LS uses a 3.64-inch barrel, compared with the 3.18-inch barrel found on the MC9 and MC9L.

The longer configuration increases the sight radius while bringing overall length to approximately 6.73 inches. This gives the MC9LS a slightly larger footprint while retaining the slim dimensions that make the MC9 family distinctive.

17+1 Round Capacity

The extended grip accommodates a 17-round magazine, providing the Canik METE MC9LS with a 17+1 capacity when appropriately loaded.

The longer grip also provides additional surface area for establishing a secure firing grip, addressing one of the primary differences between the original MC9 and the larger MC9L and MC9LS configurations.

Optics-Ready Slide

The Canik METE MC9LS comes factory optics ready for compatible micro red dot sights. Canik specifies compatibility with micro red dot platforms including the MECANIK MO1, Shield RMS and SIG Sauer ROMEOZero.

The factory optic interface allows a compatible electronic sight to be installed without requiring aftermarket slide machining.

Compact 1.12-Inch Width

Despite its longer grip and slide, the MC9LS maintains a slim 1.12-inch width. This allows the pistol to offer increased capacity and a longer barrel without adopting the substantially wider dimensions of many traditional compact handguns.

The combination of a 5.43-inch height and 6.73-inch overall length gives the MC9LS a balance between the dimensions of a micro-compact and conventional compact pistol.

White Dot Front and Blacked-Out Rear Sight

The factory iron sight system uses a white dot front sight and blacked-out rear sight. This configuration provides a visible front aiming reference with an uncluttered rear sight picture.

The longer MC9LS slide also provides an increased sight radius compared with the shorter MC9 and MC9L models.

Interchangeable Backstraps

The Canik METE MC9LS features interchangeable backstraps that allow the grip profile to be adapted to the shooter’s hand. Canik specifies three available backstrap sizes for the platform.

Combined with the extended grip length, the interchangeable backstrap system provides greater flexibility in establishing a comfortable and consistent grip.

Ambidextrous and Reversible Controls

An ambidextrous slide release provides convenient operation from either side of the pistol, while the magazine release is side reversible to accommodate right- or left-handed configurations.

The striker-fired safety system incorporates a trigger safety lever and firing pin block, along with visible striker and loaded chamber indicators.

MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny Rail

An integrated MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail provides mounting space for compatible compact weapon lights and other rail-mounted accessories.

The rail adds versatility to the MC9LS while maintaining the streamlined dimensions of the pistol’s polymer frame.
