SIG SAUER OSCAR6 HDX PRO 16-32x60mm Stabilized Spotting Scope

Description

SIG SAUER OSCAR6 HDX PRO 16–32x60mm Spotting Scope

The SIG SAUER OSCAR6 HDX PRO is a premium image-stabilized spotting scope designed for hunting, long-range observation, range use, and field glassing. This Flat Dark Earth SOO62001 configuration combines 16–32x variable magnification with a 60mm objective lens, straight viewing body, and SIG SAUER’s OmniScan Optical Image Stabilization system. The result is a compact observation optic that can deliver a steadier image from a tripod, vehicle mount, or supported handheld position.

OmniScan Optical Image Stabilization

Small movements become increasingly visible as magnification rises. OmniScan uses a digital accelerometer to monitor movement and automatically vary the amount of stabilization applied. Slower motion receives greater correction, allowing the system to adapt without requiring the user to switch manually between stabilization modes. The optic provides up to a 2.0-degree image-compensation angle, helping reduce the visible effects of wind, vibration, hand movement, or an imperfect support position.

Image stabilization is controlled through the power selector collar. A visible indicator confirms when the system is operating. The electronic system runs on two commonly available AA alkaline batteries and provides up to 50 hours of continuous runtime, making field replacement simpler than a proprietary rechargeable pack.

HDX PRO Optical System

The 16–32x magnification range provides a useful balance between field of view and detail. Lower power makes it easier to locate and track a subject, while higher power supports closer examination of distant targets, terrain, wildlife, or shot placement. The 60mm objective gathers light while keeping the body more compact than many large-objective spotting scopes.

SIG SAUER’s HDX PRO optical system is engineered to increase light transmission, improve color accuracy, and reduce ambient glare. SpectraCoat anti-reflection coatings support efficient light transmission across the visible spectrum. LensArmor abrasion-resistant protection helps defend exposed glass surfaces, while LensShield coatings help shed water, oil, and other contaminants. The roof-prism design and extra-low-dispersion glass work together to limit color fringing and preserve fine detail.

Field-Focused Controls and Ergonomics

The straight eyepiece supports quick alignment when observing from changing terrain or switching between a subject and the surrounding area. A multi-position twist-up eyecup accommodates users with or without eyewear, and the 16–22mm eye-relief range allows the viewing position to be adjusted for comfort. Separate zoom and fast-focus controls make it possible to locate a subject, select magnification, and sharpen detail without bulky external knobs.

The removable sunshade reduces stray light and glare at the objective. Durable rubber armor protects the body and provides a secure, non-slip gripping surface. The scope is rated IPX7 waterproof and is designed for fogproof performance, supporting use in rain, changing temperatures, and demanding outdoor environments.

Tripod and Mounting Compatibility

An integrated ARCA-SWISS base attaches directly to compatible tripod heads without requiring a separate plate. The mounting foot also accepts a standard 1/4-inch-20 tripod screw, expanding compatibility with conventional tripods, window mounts, and observation supports. The compact 11.5-inch body can be carried in the included molded EVA foam case when moving between locations.
