Steve Irwin, also known as “the Crocodile Hunter”, was an Australian environmentalist, conservationist, and TV personality who dedicated his life to wildlife. Raised by naturalists in the Queensland Reptile and Fauna Park, Irwin became an expert on local wildlife, especially reptiles. He worked with the Queensland government to humanely relocate crocodiles, and established private wildlife refuges in Australia.
