The SIG SAUER WHISKEY6 3-18×44mm FFP MOA Riflescope is a first-focal-plane hunting optic designed for work across varied terrain, distance, and available light. First-focal-plane MOA reticle

Because the reticle is located in the first focal plane, its apparent size changes with magnification while its subtensions remain consistent. Holdover references therefore remain proportional throughout the full 3–18× range rather than being accurate only at one designated power. The MOA Milling Hunter 2.0 layout also keeps the reticle references and turret adjustments in the same angular measurement system.

SIG SAUER developed the Milling Hunter 2.0 reticle for long-range hunting. It provides useful elevation and wind references while maintaining a practical sight picture for field conditions.

HDX glass and protective coatings

The WHISKEY6 uses SIG SAUER’s HDX optical system, which combines extra-low-dispersion glass with high-transmittance lens coatings. This system is intended to deliver sharp resolution, accurate color, and useful light transmission during the lower-light periods common in hunting. SpectraCoat anti-reflection coatings reduce surface reflections across the visible spectrum, while LensArmor abrasion-resistant coatings protect the exposed lens surfaces.

At the low 3× setting, field of view is listed at 34.9 feet at 100 yards. At 18×, the field of view is 5.8 feet at 100 yards. Eye relief ranges from 3.7 to 3.9 inches across the magnification range.

Multi-Lock zero-stop elevation turret

A Multi-Lock zero-stop elevation dial combines exposed multi-turn adjustment with a locking push button. The design provides fast access to elevation changes while helping prevent unintended movement and giving the shooter a defined return-to-zero reference. The MOA configuration supplies 78 MOA of total elevation travel, 78 MOA of total windage travel, and 25 MOA of adjustment per turret rotation.

A removable magnification throw lever supports quick power changes. It can also be removed when a more streamlined profile is preferred. The diopter adjustment range is plus or minus 2.5.

Field-ready construction

The riflescope is IPX7 waterproof, fogproof, and argon purged for dependable performance in wet weather and rapidly changing temperatures. SIG SAUER’s Stealth ID exterior uses angular surfacing that helps break up the optic’s outline while adding protective geometry to the body.

The WHISKEY6 measures 11.9 inches long and weighs 23.8 ounces. It is a non-illuminated optic, avoiding battery dependence for the reticle. A mount is not included, so the rifle will require suitable 30mm rings or another compatible 30mm mounting system.
