The SIG SAUER ALPHA6 30mm low-profile scope ring set is designed to provide a strong, precisely fitted connection between a 30mm riflescope and an M1913 Picatinny or Weaver-style rail. This exact configuration is the low 0.85-inch version, measured from the top of the rail to the optic centerline. It is a practical option for compatible rifle and optic combinations where a lower sight line and consistent mounting interface are preferred.

SIG SAUER machines the rings from its proprietary 6061-T6 billet aluminum alloy. The material balances strength with enough ductility to form around a scope maintube during correct installation without unnecessarily stressing or damaging the optic. A Type III flat-black hard-anodized finish helps protect the aluminum surfaces, while black-oxide hardened-steel hardware provides secure clamping at the scope and rail.

Installation Considerations

Correct ring height depends on the firearm, rail, scope objective diameter, barrel contour, and any installed accessories. Before installation, confirm that the 0.85-inch centerline height provides adequate clearance for the optic and allows comfortable head positioning. The rings should be seated squarely on the rail with the scope aligned naturally before final tightening.

SIG SAUER specifies 65 inch-pounds for the rail fastener using a 1/2-inch socket and 25 inch-pounds for the scope fasteners using a T15 Torx driver. Use an appropriate calibrated torque tool and follow the optic manufacturer’s installation guidance as well. Tighten scope hardware evenly and avoid exceeding the specified torque, since over-tightening can damage an optic maintube or affect internal components. The scope-leveling tool supplied with some ALPHA6 configurations is included only with the medium and high 30mm mounts, not the low version.
