SIG SAUER P365-AXG Equinox 9mm Compensated Pistol

SIG SAUER P365-AXG Equinox 9mm

The SIG SAUER P365-AXG Equinox brings Custom Works styling and an alloy grip module to the highly concealable P365 platform. Chambered in 9mm, this compact pistol combines a 3.1-inch barrel with an integrated two-port expansion chamber, an optic-ready Equinox slide, black G10 grip panels, and three 12-round steel magazines. Exact manufacturer part number 365AXG9COMPEQ identifies this polished, compensated AXG configuration.

AXG Control in a Compact Carry Format

AXG stands for Alloy XSeries Grip. Replacing a conventional polymer grip module with an alloy unit gives the pistol a more substantial feel in the hand while preserving the P365 family’s compact proportions. The added rigidity and weight can help the pistol feel planted during recoil, and the custom black G10 panels provide defined texture and a distinctive appearance. An integrated accessory rail allows the use of compatible compact lights or lasers.

This model uses a striker-fired action and does not include a manual safety. Its e-nickel trigger and operating controls create a visual contrast against the dark frame while supporting a smooth, corrosion-resistant interface. A secure holster that fully covers the trigger guard remains essential for lawful carry.

Equinox Slide and Integrated Expansion Chamber

The polished Equinox slide combines contrasting surfaces with a black Nitron treatment for the signature two-tone appearance associated with the Equinox line. At the muzzle, an integrated two-port expansion chamber redirects propellant gas to help limit muzzle rise. Because the expansion chamber is part of the slide system rather than a separate threaded device, the pistol retains a clean profile around its 3.1-inch barrel.

Reduced muzzle movement can make it easier for a practiced shooter to track the sights and return the pistol for follow-up shots. Actual felt recoil and recovery will still depend on grip technique, ammunition, and the individual shooter, so regular practice remains important.

SIG-LOC Optic Readiness and Night Sights

The slide is cut for SIG SAUER’s SIG-LOC mounting footprint, permitting a compatible optic to attach directly without an adapter plate. This approach can reduce interface parts and keep the optic closer to the slide. Confirm the exact optic footprint and follow the sight manufacturer’s fastener and torque requirements before installation.

Factory XRAY3 day/night sights provide a visible aiming reference in bright and reduced-light conditions. The pistol can therefore be used with its iron sights as delivered or configured with a compatible micro red dot. After mounting an optic, confirm zero and verify that all fasteners remain secure during routine maintenance.

Capacity and Included Equipment

This exact P365-AXG Equinox ships with three 12-round steel magazines and offers a 12+1 capacity when loaded with a round in the chamber. Multiple included magazines are useful for structured practice and allow owners to rotate or individually mark magazines for tracking. The compact grip length and 12-round format balance concealability with a full firing grip for many shooters.
