SIG SAUER P226-XFIVE Legion 9mm 20-Round Pistol

The SIG SAUER P226-XFIVE LEGION brings competition-influenced controls and recoil management to the proven P226 platform. This exact configuration is identified by manufacturer part number 226X59LEGIONSAO and UPC 798681726356. Chambered in 9mm Luger, it pairs a 4.4-inch barrel with a full-size alloy frame and a LEGION Gray Cerakote-finished stainless-steel slide. Its 20+1 capacity and three included 20-round magazines distinguish this package from the restricted-capacity version.

Integrated recoil-management system

A defining feature of the P226-XFIVE LEGION is the slide-integrated expansion chamber. Instead of adding a threaded muzzle device, SIG SAUER machines the recoil-management system into the slide assembly. The design vents propellant gases at the front of the slide to help moderate muzzle rise and support faster recovery between shots. Because the chamber is integrated, the pistol retains a clean profile and uses its standard-length 4.4-inch barrel.

The stainless-steel slide is serrated for positive handling and cut for compatible optics. The SIG-LOC optic-ready interface is intended to provide a secure mounting arrangement while the factory sight system remains useful for shooters who prefer irons. Suppressor-height XRAY3 sights combine a high-visibility front with an adjustable rear, giving the user a practical sight picture and the ability to tune point of impact.

Adjustable single-action controls

This P226-XFIVE LEGION uses a single-action-only operating system with an ambidextrous manual safety. The flat-faced AX3 trigger is adjustable in three ways, allowing the shooter to tailor key aspects of trigger position and movement within SIG SAUER’s specified adjustment range. The straight trigger face provides a consistent contact surface, while the extended controls and full-size frame are arranged for deliberate range use, training, and practical competition.

Black LEGION-pattern TXG grip panels add a dense, textured gripping surface to the alloy frame. A removable magwell helps guide magazine insertion and complements the supplied magazines’ black alloy base pads. An accessory rail on the dust cover accepts compatible lights or other rail-mounted equipment. Together, the grip geometry, undercut trigger guard, beavertail, and substantial 42.4-ounce listed weight give the pistol a planted feel in the hand.

Full-size dimensions and 20-round package

The P226-XFIVE LEGION measures approximately 8.6 inches long, 1.7 inches wide, and 6.0 inches high. Those dimensions make it a purpose-built full-size handgun rather than a compact carry pistol. The longer sight radius, adjustable controls, and weight-forward slide design are aimed at shooters who value stability and rapid sight return. Capacity is 20 rounds in the magazine plus one in the chamber when loaded in accordance with the owner’s manual and applicable law.
