The SIG SAUER ROMEO-X COMPACT SORX1280 is an open-emitter pistol reflex sight configured with a precise 3 MOA green dot and the compact Shield RMSc mounting footprint. Designed for optic-ready P365-family pistols and other compatible RMSc-pattern slides, it combines a low mounting profile with straightforward controls and true 1x magnification. The compact format helps preserve the balance and concealability of a micro-compact or slimline pistol while providing a bright electronic aiming point.

SIG machines the housing from 7075 aluminum and pairs it with a distortion-resistant aspherical lens. The sight measures 1.62 inches long, 1.22 inches wide, and 0.94 inch high according to SIG’s current specifications. Its low deck height is intended to support co-witnessing with standard-height iron sights on compatible pistol and sight combinations. Because slide cuts, adapter plates, screw lengths, and sight heights vary, confirm the exact firearm fit before installation.

3 MOA Green-Dot Reticle

This SORX1280 variant uses a single 3 MOA green dot. The dot offers a useful balance between a clearly visible aiming point and the precision needed for deliberate shots. Independent brightness buttons provide 15 illumination settings: 12 daytime levels and three settings intended for compatible night-vision equipment. Recessed controls help protect the buttons against unintended changes during handling or carry.

MOTAC motion-activated illumination switches the reticle on when movement is detected and powers it down during inactivity to extend battery life. SIG lists a 20,000-hour runtime under its specified test conditions. The included CR1632 battery installs through a side-loading compartment, allowing routine battery replacement without removing the optic from the slide and disturbing its mounted position.

Installation and Maintenance

Follow the firearm and optic manufacturers’ instructions for screw selection, torque, and thread-locking compound. After installation, establish and verify the zero with the intended ammunition. Periodically inspect the mounting screws, lens, battery cap, controls, and reticle operation.
