The SIG SAUER ROMEO-X Enclosed Compact SORX1460 is a 1x24mm pistol reflex sight with a 6 MOA red dot, black finish and Compact Shield RMSc footprint. Developed from the ROMEO-M17 program, it places the emitter and optical path inside a fully enclosed housing to reduce direct exposure to rain, dust, lint and debris. This optic is designed for compatible P365 models and other pistols using the Shield RMSc mounting footprint. Its low deck height allows a full sight picture and can support co-witness with standard-height iron sights on compatible slide and sight combinations. Fully Enclosed 7075-Aluminum Housing

The ROMEO-X Enclosed Compact uses a CNC-machined 7075-aluminum housing with a sealed and argon-purged optical system. A glass front lens and rear window close the emitter inside the body, helping keep the projected dot visible when the outside environment is wet or dirty. The sight is IPX-7 rated for water resistance and is designed, developed, tested and assembled in the United States.

A distortion-free aspherical lens works with a high-efficiency point-source emitter to present a clear aiming reference. The 6 MOA dot is easy to acquire during a fast presentation and remains compact enough for deliberate aiming at typical pistol distances. SIG SAUER’s D.A.R.C. lens and illumination system supports use with GEN 3+ night-vision devices.

Illumination and Battery System

The sight provides 15 illumination settings: 12 daylight settings and three night-vision settings. Recessed controls help protect the buttons from unintended contact while still allowing brightness changes from the side of the optic. MOTAC motion-activated illumination powers the dot when movement is detected and shuts it down during inactivity to conserve energy.

Power comes from one CR1632 battery in a side-mounted compartment. The side-loading design permits battery replacement without removing the optic from the slide, helping preserve the established zero. SIG SAUER lists a minimum continuous runtime of 20,000 hours at the medium brightness setting in dot-only operation. Battery condition, temperature, brightness selection and motion frequency can change real-world service life.

Mounting and Compatibility

The Compact footprint is intended for the P365 family and other pistols cut for Shield RMSc-pattern optics. SIG SAUER lists direct-mount compatibility with selected non-SIG pistols, but model generations, slide cuts and supplied screws can differ. Confirm current manufacturer guidance for the exact firearm instead of selecting an optic only by slide width or the general “micro compact” label.

Follow the optic and pistol instructions for screw selection, thread engagement and torque. Once installed, confirm that the sight is secure, establish a zero with the intended ammunition and periodically inspect the mounting screws. Windage and elevation corrections should be made within the sight’s available adjustment range.
