Description
SIG SAUER ROMEO-X PRO Circle-Dot Reflex Sight
The SIG SAUER ROMEO-X PRO is a premium open-emitter pistol optic built for slides and mounting interfaces that use the SIG PRO or DeltaPoint Pro footprint. This black Circle-Dot model is identified by manufacturer part number SORX1000 and UPC 798681688180. Its selectable reticle combines a precise 2 MOA red dot with a large 32 MOA red circle, giving the shooter multiple aiming presentations in one compact sight.
SIG designed the ROMEO-X around a low deck height, rugged 7075-aluminum housing, and an integrated rear sight notch. The low optical axis helps preserve a useful sight picture with standard-height iron sights on compatible pistols. A high-efficiency LED emitter and aspherical glass lens are paired with SIG’s coatings to deliver a clear, distortion-controlled view for fast target acquisition with both eyes open.

Selectable Circle-Dot Reticle
The Circle-Dot version lets the user cycle among the center dot, outer circle, and combined circle-dot display. The 32 MOA circle creates a large visual reference that can be acquired quickly during presentation, while the 2 MOA center dot provides a finer aiming point when greater precision is needed. The combined mode offers both references at once. Changing modes is accomplished through the protected brightness controls without removing the sight from the pistol.
Fifteen brightness levels allow the reticle to be tuned for changing light conditions. Twelve settings are intended for daylight use and three support compatible GEN3+ night-vision equipment. SIG’s D.A.R.C. technology is designed to preserve suitable reticle brightness and target clarity during night-vision use.
MOTAC and Side-Loading Battery
MOTAC motion-activated illumination helps manage battery life automatically. After approximately two minutes without movement, the optic powers the reticle down. Motion wakes it and restores the previous brightness and reticle settings. SIG rates the CR1632 battery for up to 20,000 hours of continuous operation at a medium setting in dot-only mode.
The battery compartment is located on the side of the housing, so routine battery replacement does not require removing the optic or disturbing the zero. The threaded battery cap also keeps the compact housing clean and enclosed. Always follow the current manual’s installation and torque instructions, and keep coin-cell batteries away from children.
Low-Profile PRO Footprint
The ROMEO-X PRO is intended for SIG PRO-cut slides and other compatible DeltaPoint Pro mounting surfaces. The low deck height and built-in rear sight notch can support co-witnessing with standard-height sights on suitable pistols. Actual fit, screw length, torque, and iron-sight alignment depend on the host firearm or adapter plate, so verify compatibility before installation.
SIG includes the optic, CR1632 battery, mounting screws, Torx tools, and operator’s manual. Mount the sight only on an unloaded firearm, use the correct screws for the specific slide or plate, and apply the torque specified for that mounting system. After installation, establish an initial zero on paper and confirm final point of impact with live fire.
Durability and Maintenance
The 7075-aluminum housing is designed for pistol use, while the IPX7 rating provides protection against temporary water immersion. Keep the lens free of carbon and abrasive debris by blowing away loose particles before using a clean optical cloth or swab. Periodically inspect mounting screws, the battery cap, lens, and adjustment controls. The ROMEO-X PRO SORX1000 is a strong choice for shooters who want a low-profile open reflex sight with a flexible circle-dot system and straightforward battery service.
