Description
SIG SAUER ROMEO-X SIG-LOC PRO Enclosed Circle-Dot Sight
The SIG SAUER ROMEO-X SIG-LOC PRO is a fully enclosed pistol reflex sight designed for compatible slides equipped with the SIG-LOC PRO mounting footprint. This black SORX1500 configuration uses a red circle-dot reticle, 1x magnification, and a 24mm objective. It combines a low optical deck with a rigid, bottom-mounted interface intended to keep the sight close to the slide while maintaining dependable contact under recoil and impact.
SIG-LOC Five-Point Mounting System
SIG-LOC stands for Leverage Optimized Connection. Instead of relying only on two conventional top-mounted screws, the system secures the optic from beneath the slide and establishes five contact points between the sight and a compatible SIG-LOC cut. That additional mechanical engagement is designed to resist movement and help preserve zero through repeated firing and hard use. The low mounting height also allows the optic to co-witness with standard-height iron sights on compatible configurations.
The longer focal path made possible by the bottom-mount design helps minimize parallax and reticle distortion. For the shooter, that means a cleaner aiming reference and a more forgiving sight picture when the eye is not perfectly centered behind the window. Before ordering, confirm that the intended slide has the correct SIG-LOC PRO footprint; this mounting system is configuration-specific.
Enclosed Optical System
The emitter and optical path are protected inside a fully enclosed, sealed, and purged housing. This design helps prevent rain, lint, dirt, and airborne debris from blocking the emitter or interrupting the projected aiming point. The rugged housing is machined from 7075 aluminum, while the distortion-free aspherical glass lens is engineered to provide a clear viewing window without unnecessary bulk.
LensArmor abrasion-resistant protection helps preserve optical clarity, and SpectraCoat anti-reflection coatings support light transmission while reducing distracting surface reflections. The SORX1500 uses a red circle-dot reticle with a precise 2 MOA center dot, giving the shooter a fine aiming point surrounded by a larger visual reference that can be acquired quickly.
Brightness, Battery, and Motion Activation
Fifteen illumination settings provide 12 daylight levels and three night-vision-compatible settings. This range allows the reticle to be adjusted for bright outdoor conditions, indoor use, low light, and compatible night-vision equipment. MOTAC motion-activated illumination powers the reticle when movement is detected and shuts it down during inactivity, conserving energy without requiring the shooter to switch the sight on before every use.
A side-loading CR2032 battery provides a rated runtime of up to 20,000 hours. Because the battery compartment is accessible from the side, routine battery replacement can be completed without removing the optic from the slide and disturbing its mounting relationship. The optic is also rated IPX-8 for water resistance.

Operational Controls and Maintenance
The low-profile control layout keeps brightness adjustment accessible without adding unnecessary width. Periodic inspection should include the lens surfaces, battery compartment, mounting hardware, and zero. Cleaning should follow SIG SAUER guidance so the coated glass and sealed housing are not damaged by abrasive materials or unsuitable solvents.
Built for a Complete SIG-LOC Installation
The ROMEO-X SIG-LOC PRO is assembled in the United States and covered by SIG SAUER’s Infinite Guarantee. Its enclosed construction, low deck height, motion activation, side-access battery, and reinforced mounting geometry make it a purpose-built option for shooters using a compatible SIG-LOC PRO slide. Verify the slide footprint and installation requirements before mounting, and follow the supplied SIG SAUER instructions for hardware, torque, and zero confirmation.
