The SIG SAUER ROMEO5XDR GEN II is a compact 1x20mm reflex sight built around a versatile dual-reticle system. This exact black model, manufacturer part number SOR5X201, lets the user select a crisp 2 MOA red dot or add a 65 MOA circle around the dot. The small center point supports precise holds, while the large circle gives the eye a fast visual reference at close range. With unlimited eye relief and true 1x magnification, the sight is designed for both-eyes-open use on rifles, carbines, shotguns, and other firearms equipped with a compatible rail.

Selectable Reticle and Practical Controls

The ROMEO5XDR GEN II provides 12 illumination settings: 10 daylight levels and two settings compatible with night-vision equipment. Ambidextrous top-mounted controls make brightness changes easy from either side. Windage and elevation move in 1 MOA increments, with a total adjustment range of 100 MOA for each axis. That straightforward adjustment system makes it easy to establish and maintain a useful zero without overly complicated controls.

Motion-Activated Power

SIG SAUER’s MOTAC system helps balance readiness and battery life. After approximately two minutes without motion, the illumination powers down automatically. Movement wakes the sight and returns it to the previously selected setting. The optic runs on a commonly available AAA battery and is rated for up to 50,000 hours of normal use, depending on brightness and operating conditions. The battery compartment is accessible without removing the sight from the firearm, so routine battery replacement does not require disturbing the mount.

Integral Rail Mount and Rugged Construction

An integral M1913 Picatinny mount with a half-inch keeper places the optic at a 1.41-inch absolute co-witness height. The compact aluminum housing is designed to withstand regular range, field, and duty-style handling while keeping the control layout protected and accessible. High-performance lens coatings support light transmission and strong reticle contrast across changing conditions. The sight is also fog proof and carries an IPX-7 waterproof rating.
