Description

SIG SAUER ECHO CV25 Thermal Clip-On

The SIG SAUER ECHO CV25 is a compact thermal clip-on built to add thermal capability to a compatible day-optic setup without requiring a dedicated thermal riflescope. This black CV25 is the exact SOEC22100 configuration, identified by UPC 798681702985. Its quick-disconnect mount lets the unit ride on a Picatinny rail in front of the day optic, while an eyepiece optimized for clip-on use helps maintain a practical viewing relationship between the thermal display and the optic behind it.

At the heart of the CV25 is a 640 × 512 LWIR thermal core with a 12-micron pixel pitch, 50 Hz refresh rate, and sensitivity rated below 20 mK. Those specifications support a smooth, detailed thermal image for observation, target identification, and field use in darkness or visually difficult conditions. The 25 mm objective provides a wide 17.6-degree field of view, and the 1024 × 768 AMOLED microdisplay presents the processed image with strong resolution. Eight selectable color palettes let the operator tailor the display to the environment and personal preference.

Clip-On and Stand-Alone Operation

The ECHO CV25 supports two operating modes. In Clip-On Mode, it mounts ahead of a day optic and presents a thermal image through that optic. In Sight Mode, the CV25 can function as a stand-alone thermal sight with reticle selection, zeroing controls, and 1–8× digital magnification. This dual-role design gives the user the option to keep an established day-optic arrangement or configure the CV25 as the primary thermal aiming device when the application calls for it.

A quick-release lever makes installation and removal straightforward, and the supplied 1.93-inch centerline riser kit helps accommodate common mounting heights. Image focus is adjusted at the front of the unit as viewing distance changes. The keypad provides direct access to zoom, palette selection, non-uniformity correction, standby, menus, and photo or video controls, helping keep common functions close at hand.

Recording, Connectivity, and BDX

The CV25 can capture still images and video with audio to its 32 GB of onboard media storage. Recoil-activated recording can preserve a 20-second video spanning the moments before and after a detected shot, while manual photo and video controls are also available. Stored media can be transferred for review and sharing.

Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity support configuration through the SIG SAUER BDX application. With BDX 2.0, users can manage device settings, update firmware, create ballistic profiles, and load compatible digital ballistic reticle information for Sight Mode. The system also provides optical-axis calibration tools intended to help align the clip-on image with the host optic. These connected features complement the CV25’s onboard controls without preventing normal field operation directly from the device.

Field-Ready Power and Protection

The thermal clip-on operates on one removable 18650 lithium-ion rechargeable battery and is rated for more than nine hours of runtime under the manufacturer’s specification. Two rechargeable 18650 batteries are included, allowing one battery to be carried as a spare. The batteries recharge through their USB-C connection; the device’s USB-C port can supply external power but does not charge a battery installed in the unit.

An IP67 waterproof rating gives the CV25 protection suited to demanding outdoor use. Motion-activated power management can place the display in standby and shut down the unit after configurable periods without movement, helping conserve battery life. Automatic or manual non-uniformity correction is available to normalize the thermal sensor and maintain image quality as conditions change.
