SIG SAUER P226 Elite 9mm Optic-Ready Pistol

Description

SIG SAUER P226 Elite 9mm Optic-Ready Pistol

The SIG SAUER P226 Elite brings a refined factory configuration to the established full-size P226 platform. This listing is for manufacturer part number E26R-9-BSE-R2, the black 9mm model with a 4.4-inch barrel, double-action/single-action operation, SIGLITE night sights, an optic-ready slide, and two 15-round steel magazines. Its combination of a stainless-steel slide, alloy frame, E2 grip, accessory rail, and traditional decocking controls makes it a strong fit for buyers who prefer the balance and operating system of a classic SIG metal-frame pistol.

Traditional DA/SA Operation

This P226 Elite uses a double-action/single-action trigger system. The first trigger press can be fired in double action, while subsequent shots operate in single action after the slide cycles. A frame-mounted decocking control lets the hammer be lowered without pulling the trigger when the pistol is handled in accordance with SIG SAUER’s instructions. This model does not use a manual thumb safety, so owners should understand its control layout, use an appropriate holster, and follow the safety and storage guidance in the factory manual.

SIG equips this configuration with a standard curved trigger and the company’s Short Reset Trigger system. The shorter reset is intended to provide a more distinct, efficient trigger return between shots while preserving the familiar P226 DA/SA operating sequence. The full-size E2 grip is shaped to give the firing hand broad contact with the black hard-coat-anodized alloy frame.

Optic-Ready Slide and Night Sights

The stainless-steel slide wears SIG SAUER’s black Nitron finish and arrives optics ready from the factory. Its cut is listed with a 6.3-inch sight radius and is paired with SIGLITE night sights, giving the pistol a usable factory sighting system before any compatible electro-optic is added. Buyers planning to install an optic should confirm footprint, plate, screw, and torque requirements for the exact sight and follow the instructions supplied by both manufacturers.

Front and rear slide serrations provide defined handling surfaces, while the 4.4-inch carbon-steel barrel maintains the standard full-size P226 profile. The muzzle is not threaded on this SKU. A SIG accessory rail on the frame supports compatible lights and other properly fitted rail-mounted equipment.

Full-Size Metal-Frame Configuration

The P226 Elite measures 7.7 inches long, 1.5 inches wide, and 5.5 inches high, with a listed unloaded weight of 32.4 ounces. Those dimensions place it firmly in the full-size category. The alloy frame supplies the rigid feel associated with a traditional metal-frame pistol without the weight of an all-steel frame, while the stainless slide provides a durable upper assembly.

Two 15-round steel magazines are included, producing a listed 15+1 capacity when the chamber is loaded. Magazine capacity and firearm availability can be restricted by state or local law, so purchasers should confirm current rules for their location before ordering or transferring the firearm.
