Description
SIG SAUER ROMEO-RS Compact 6 MOA Green Dot
The SIG SAUER ROMEO-RS Compact is an open-emitter pistol optic built around a reinforced hybrid housing and a highly visible 6 MOA green dot. This exact black configuration, manufacturer part number SOR02190, uses the Compact Shield RMS-c footprint and is sized for optic-ready P365-family pistols and other firearms with a compatible mounting interface. It provides a modern aiming solution for concealed carry, training and close-range competition without the price or bulk of a larger enclosed sight.
ROMEO-RS stands for Reinforced Steel. SIG SAUER forms a high-strength polymer housing around a skeletonized steel chassis, combining structural support around the lens and adjustment system with a compact exterior. Threaded metal inserts support the mounting screws, battery tray and windage/elevation mechanisms, while steel recoil pins help resist lateral movement under repeated slide cycling.
6 MOA Green Dot and Aspherical Glass
The 6 MOA green aiming point is designed for quick visual acquisition at typical handgun distances. A 6 MOA dot covers approximately 1.5 inches at 25 yards, providing a bold aiming reference without filling the optic window at normal defensive or training ranges. Green illumination may appear especially vivid to some users, although perceived dot shape and clarity vary with eyesight, brightness and ambient light.
A premium molded aspherical glass lens is intended to reduce distortion and provide a clear sight picture across the window. SIG SAUER applies SpectraCoat anti-reflection coatings to improve light transmission and reduce surface reflections. The optic offers eight brightness settings controlled by a large side-mounted button that is recessed into the housing to reduce accidental activation.
Motion Activation and Side-Load Battery
MOTAC motion-activated illumination powers the dot on when movement is detected and shuts it down during inactivity to conserve energy. SIG SAUER specifies a minimum continuous runtime of 20,000 hours at a medium brightness setting for the dot-only configuration. Actual service life varies with brightness selection, temperature, battery quality and how the optic is used.
The ROMEO-RS Compact uses one CR1632 battery. Its side-loading battery tray is secured with a screw and allows battery replacement without removing the optic from the slide, helping preserve the existing zero. Even with side access, users should verify zero after battery service, significant impacts or any change to mounting hardware.

Installation and Use
Before installation, verify the firearm’s optic cut, screw pattern, supplied hardware and any adapter-plate requirement. Use the correct screws and the torque specification supplied by SIG SAUER or the firearm manufacturer. Incorrect screw length or excessive torque can damage the optic or interfere with the pistol. After mounting, establish a mechanical zero at the range and confirm the point of impact with the ammunition normally used in the firearm.
The green dot is not a substitute for safe handling or consistent presentation. Practice bringing the unloaded pistol to eye level so the dot enters the window naturally, then confirm the technique during live fire. Periodically inspect the mounting screws, lens, emitter opening and battery tray. Keep the lens and emitter free of lint, moisture and residue using optic-safe cleaning materials.
This listing is for the black ROMEO-RS Compact with a 6 MOA green dot. Confirm firearm compatibility before purchase. The sight is backed by SIG SAUER’s Infinite Guarantee for electro-optics, subject to the manufacturer’s current terms and exclusions.
