The SIG SAUER ROMEO9T is a rugged 1x38mm reflex sight built for users who need more than a conventional single-dot optic. This Flat Dark Earth configuration combines two independently adjustable emitters, a wide 38mm clear aperture, durable metal construction, and controls designed for fast operation in daylight or with night-vision equipment. Its dual-zero design gives the shooter two distinct aiming solutions in one optic, making the ROMEO9T especially useful on rifles that may be used with different ammunition, different zero distances, or suppressed and unsuppressed configurations.

Two Independently Zeroed Aiming Points

At the center of the ROMEO9T is a red emitter with a precise 1 MOA dot and a user-selectable 65 MOA circle. A separate green emitter projects a 2.5 MOA dot. Because the red and green emitters have their own windage and elevation adjustments, each can be zeroed for a different point of impact. A shooter can switch between the two emitters or display both reticles together. This arrangement can support practical setup choices such as supersonic versus subsonic ammunition, suppressed versus unsuppressed use, alternate calibers, or a standard zero paired with a closer-range offset.

Built for Low-Light and Night-Vision Use

The ROMEO9T provides 15 illumination settings, including 12 daylight settings and three night-vision settings. SIG SAUER’s D.A.R.C. lens coatings and brightness range are optimized for use with Gen 3+ night-vision devices, while the dedicated night-vision override control helps the user move quickly between the current setting and maximum brightness. The proprietary optical system is also designed to reduce light escaping toward the target, helping limit the optic’s downrange signature. SpectraCoat anti-reflection treatment supports light transmission, LensArmor helps protect against abrasion, and LenShield sheds water, oil, and debris.

Duty-Grade Housing and Weather Protection

A CNC-machined 7075-T6 aluminum housing forms the core of the sight, while a removable titanium shroud and titanium mounting hardware add protection around the optic. SIG SAUER rates the ROMEO9T to IPX-8 waterproof performance and tests the design to MIL-STD-810 environmental standards. Factory-installed flip-back lens covers protect the glass during transport and field use. The included anti-reflective device can replace the front cover when additional control of reflections and visible signature is desired.

Long Runtime with Automatic Power Management

The sight uses one CR123 lithium battery and is rated for up to 50,000 hours of operation under standard use. MOTAC motion-sensing technology powers illumination down after inactivity and returns it to the previous emitter and brightness setting when movement is detected. An onboard reserve provides up to 10 additional hours of operation if the primary battery is depleted or removed. The reserve system prioritizes the center dot and disables the 65 MOA circle to conserve remaining power.

Mounting and Adjustment

The integrated mount fits STANAG and MIL-STD-1913 rails and positions the optical axis at a 1.63-inch lower-third co-witness height. Red and green windage and elevation controls are adjusted separately in 0.5 MOA clicks, with at least 100 MOA of total elevation travel. Unlimited eye relief and true 1x magnification support rapid target acquisition from unconventional positions while keeping both eyes open.
