SIG SAUER TANGO-MSR 1-6x24mm Riflescope with Mount

The SIG SAUER TANGO-MSR 1-6x24mm is a second-focal-plane low-power variable optic supplied as a ready-to-mount package. This black SOT61000 configuration combines a 1-6x optical system, illuminated MSR BDC-6 reticle, 30mm main tube, ALPHA-MSR cantilever mount and protective flip-back lens covers. It is designed for shooters who want a broad field of view at low magnification and additional target detail as magnification increases.

Versatile 1-6x Optical System

At 1x, the TANGO-MSR supports fast viewing across its wide field of view. Turning the magnification ring increases power up to 6x for greater precision and target identification at extended distances. SIG SAUER uses low-dispersion glass in the six-power optical system to support clarity and light transmission across the zoom range. A removable thread-in throw lever gives the magnification ring a prominent control surface for quick changes.

The 24mm objective and 30mm maintube keep the optic compact. Overall length is 10.4 inches, and the scope itself weighs 18.5 ounces. Published eye relief ranges from 3.93 inches at low power to 3.74 inches at high power. Field of view is 124.8 feet at 100 yards on low magnification and 19.6 feet at 100 yards on high magnification. The diopter offers a plus or minus 2.5 adjustment range so the reticle can be focused to the user’s eye.

Illuminated MSR BDC-6 Reticle

The illuminated MSR BDC-6 reticle sits in the second focal plane, so its apparent size remains constant as magnification changes. Eleven brightness settings allow the illumination level to be matched to changing ambient light. The illumination system uses one CR2032 battery.

Because this is a bullet-drop-compensating reticle, users should confirm the reticle’s subtensions and ballistic assumptions in the owner’s manual, then verify actual impacts with the chosen firearm, ammunition and environmental conditions. A BDC reference is a practical aiming aid, but real trajectory varies with velocity, bullet design, sight height and zero distance.

Adjustment Range and Included Mount

Windage and elevation adjustments move in 0.5-MOA increments. The scope provides 100 MOA of total elevation travel and 100 MOA of total windage travel, with 44 MOA of travel per turret rotation. Capped turrets help protect settings during transport and normal field handling.

SIG SAUER includes its ALPHA-MSR one-piece aluminum cantilever mount, eliminating the need to source a separate 30mm mount before installation. The cantilever arrangement is suited to modern sporting rifle receivers where forward offset helps establish proper eye position while keeping the mount on the receiver. The package also includes lay-flat flip-back lens covers to protect the glass when the optic is stored or carried.

The broad zoom range allows one optic to cover several common viewing tasks. At low power, the wide field of view helps with orientation and moving between targets; higher magnification reveals more detail for deliberate aiming. The supplied mount and lens covers also simplify a first installation by providing essential mounting hardware and glass protection. Buyers should still confirm available receiver rail space, preferred eye position and clearance around nearby controls before tightening the mount.

Built for Regular Field Use

The TANGO-MSR is engineered for waterproof, shockproof and fog-proof performance. LensArmor and SpectraCoat lens treatments add protection and support light transmission. As with any riflescope, correct installation matters: follow the optic and firearm manufacturers’ instructions, use the specified fastener torque values and confirm adequate clearance around the action and accessories. Establish a safe zero at an appropriate range before relying on any hold reference.
