Compact LPVO Configuration

SIG redesigned the TANGO-MSR Compact to reduce rail space without stripping away the core features expected from a versatile LPVO. The scope measures 8.4 inches long and weighs 26.5 ounces with its mount installed. A factory-mounted and pre-leveled ALPHA-MSR aluminum cantilever mount is included, creating a ready-to-install package for compatible rifle platforms.

First-Focal-Plane BDC10 Reticle

The BDC10 reticle is positioned in the first focal plane, so its apparent size changes with magnification. This keeps the reticle’s references proportional throughout the magnification range. The illuminated design offers six brightness settings, and the redesigned illumination dial places an off position between brightness increments for more direct access to a preferred setting.

Bullet-drop references are only meaningful when matched to the firearm, ammunition, velocity, sight height, atmospheric conditions, and zeroing method for which they are being used. Confirm actual impacts at known distances rather than treating the reticle as a substitute for live-fire verification.

Optical Performance and Controls

SIG’s enhanced 10x optical system uses low-dispersion glass to support sharp edge-to-edge clarity and useful low-light performance. SpectraCoat ultra-wide broadband anti-reflection lens coatings are designed to reduce surface reflections across the visible spectrum and improve light transmission. The scope provides 3.7 inches of eye relief at both ends of the magnification range.

Field of view is listed at 122 feet at 100 yards on low power and 12.2 feet at 100 yards on high power. The diopter adjustment range is plus or minus 2.5. A removable thread-in magnification throw lever supports quicker power changes, while included lay-flat flip-back lens covers protect the glass when the optic is not in use.

Adjustment Range and Mounting Package

The TANGO-MSR Compact provides more than 80 MOA of total elevation travel and more than 80 MOA of total windage travel, with 44 MOA of travel per turret rotation. Metal turrets add strength to the control system. The included Compact MSR mount is installed and leveled at the factory, but final mounting, eye-relief positioning, fastener torque, and zero confirmation should still follow SIG SAUER’s instructions and the requirements of the host firearm.

Built for Field Conditions

SIG lists the optic as waterproof, shockproof, and fog-proof. The black housing contains a 30mm maintube and 30mm objective outer diameter, keeping the assembly compact while retaining the 24mm optical objective. Power for the illuminated reticle comes from one CR2032 battery.

Before use, confirm that the mount is correctly seated on the rail and that all fasteners are tightened to the manufacturer’s specifications. Establish a safe mechanical setup, verify eye relief from the intended shooting position, and zero with the ammunition that will actually be used. Recheck mounting hardware and zero periodically, especially after transport or hard use.
